The sampler SG350ex has an integrated flow meter and the flow is electronically adjustable from 33-350 ml/min and the nominal flow amounts 67-333 ml/min. It includes a powerful rotary vane pump, which is able to overcome high flow resistances.
The SG350ex is certified for the operation in potentially explosive areas with the classification: II 1G Ex ia IIB T3. For a very short sampling time of maximum 2 hours, it is technically possible to perform the sampling with the sampling device in the extended temperature range of -5°C to 50°C. This can lead to an overload of the device, so that in case of a damage of the device no warranty is taken over.

Sampling device SG350ex for personal air sampling of gaseous hazardous substances like formaldehyde or VOC at the workplace in hazardous areas:
For the personal measurement of noxious substances in the air at work places small, light-weight, battery-powered pumps (PAS) are used, which are connected to appropriate sampling systems for the collection of the pollutants. The system is worn by persons in whose breathing zone the concentration of hazardous substances is to be determined. For the sampling of dust, fibers and also mould fungus the combination filter head system PGP (license IFA) is utilized, for gas sampling tube holders with sorption tubes are used.
The SG350ex air sampler has been specially designed for sampling gases and can thus be used as a formaldehyde meter or as a VOC meter.
Construction and Operation:
The air sampler SG350ex is equipped with a rotary vane pump, which is controlled and regulated by an integrated microprocessor according to the actual power demand. The automatic flow control and regulation keeps the flow rate within the nominal range constant within ±5% of the initial set point during the sampling time. The integrated flow meter controls the volume flow during the measurement.
The volume flow can be electronically chosen in determinate values 33, 67, 83, 167 and 333 ml/min. This corresponds to the values 2, 4, 5, 10 and 20 l/h and is continuously variable in the area between 20 until 350 ml/min adjustable.
The sampler switches off automatically when reaching the preset sampling time or, after a certain time of fault indication on the display, when the adjusted flow rate can-not kept constant inside the required tolerance range because of too high flow resistance from the filter load or too low battery voltage. The run time is stored and the reason for the switching-off is indicated on the display.
The SG350ex is provided with an internal battery management to ensure a controlled charging of the integrated Li-Ion-battery and to indicate the approximate charging time and charging status of the battery in %. The sampling time is programmable and the actual run time as well as possible fault messages are shown on an eight-digit LCD display.
